Break the law not to buy Medical Insurance when to apply for citizenship

Hello, I was laid off and can not find any job since last year. And I don't buy any medical insurance including Obama Insurance. My ex-employer provided some compensation for losing the job this year. I know there will be penalty from IRS for not owning any medial insurance when I file tax return next year.

I have two questions for help.
1.When I apply for citizenship in near future, is there any trouble or rejection from USCIS for not abiding the law to buy any medical insurance?
2. Also is there any problem for applying for citizenship if I don't have a job?

Thank you for your advice.

1. You are perfectly free to have no health insurance; you are just subject to a certain tax. This year's taxes are filed next year. I assume that at that time you'll correctly file your taxes, including this tax for having no health insurance. You are not doing anything wrong, and there should be no trouble.
2. No. You don't have to have a job.
