Hi,

My wife was holding a H1 visa, but has been out of status for quite sometime [doesnt have paystubs]. If she has to convert to H4:

-does she need paystubs to convert from H1 to H4?

-Does she need to leave the country and enter with a H4? If she needs to leave the country, can she go to canada, get a new H4 there and reenter? Does she need her paystubs to get a visa to canada too? she is an indian national

Converting to H4 is easy. You just fill the form for change in status and copies of your H1, marriage certificate, I94 and her H1. No need for nay pay stubs etc.
