B1 Visa Extension Procedure

I am new to this forum. I want to ask a general question:

Can anyone give me the complete list of document and general procedure
that I need to submit for my mother's B1 visa extension?

I wonder if this forum already have a special area contains answers to this
general question.

Below is the cover letter I wrote for my Mom's B visa extension. Can anybody
take a look and give me advices on:
1. is the reason for extension I mentioned good enough?
2. is the document list complete?

To whom it may concern:

My name is xyz, an zzz citizen who entered US on date xyz with a B2 visa. Currently I am living in US with my son and my B visa will be expired on date xyz

I am applying to extend my B2 visa for an extra 6 months (i.e. make the expiration date to be Feb 22nd, 2006). The reason for this extension is that I need more time for trips around US.

Enclosed please find the following documents:

· I-539 form
· A check with the amount of $195 to cover the application fee
· My son’s bank statement which shows I have enough financial support during this extended stay
· Copy of my return air tickets
· Copy of my passport
· Copy of my I94 and B2 Visa
