At the interview, I remember the officer did ask me why I feared of going back to my country

Does that mean it was not explained in your NPT Application? The detailed explanation for this question supposed to be in your application, page 5. If the answer for the question "Do you feel harm or mistreatment if you return to your home country" is "Yes", you should "explain in detail", otherwise Asylum office keep returning you nunc pro tunc application back. My son's Application was returned twice by NY Asylum office.

How does the Nunc Pro Tunc Asylum work exactly? I have derivative asylum from my dad and If I get married before I file for my green card, how do I go about getting my adjusted status? I had read some info on the USCIS about this provision but not sure how it work? can they deny my application altogether or is it garanteed that I will get the nunc pro tunc and continue on to adjust status to permanent resident?
