I am an h-1 visa holder. I need to ask my employer if they would be ready to help me with my green card processing. Any tips on the best way to put across my request to my employer would help. My employer is not proficient in immigration matters and does not even know what a green card means.

dude i am in same boat but atleast my new employer will listen to my problem. my current employer fully understood what h1 and gc meant still kept playing with me. if he is willing to listen explain how you will stick to them for 2 years minimum ,etc

No it is same for everyone. Is your manager chinese ? I know that indian and american law people are very good, perhaps the chinese are good too. good luck, and wish me also good luck.
