thanks a lot.

Cider_or,

Yes it is a possibility that you may indeed get your approval letter before the time specified. Earlier projection for this year was Feb 99 and as we know it was updated to April 99, that is currently being processed now.

I hope this all processes fast and well for you and rest of folks....

Regards,

It is not a possibility it is a fact that you will get it earlier since fingerprpints are valid for 15 months only. so they can not ask you for fingerprints a year earlier unless they have a visa number for you. Remeber that many of those who applied for green cards thru asylum may have got the green cards in another way. Also according to the AILA suit the bozos at INS delivered only half of the yearly 10000 visas every year in the past 4-5 years so they have more visas to give. So relax and wait for your green card and hope that these bozos do not ask you for further evidence. Good luck

I am not sure the visa numbers are accumulating if not granted, as you suggest. They are wasted AFAIK. It was in the lawsuit brough by AILA, but not sure that BCIS agreed to comply with it. Any comments on this? If yes, that would be great news for all of us still on the waiting list...

Cheers.

:)

Ok Gilbert you probably know better because this is your field but can you explain to me how come their projections jumped from Feb 99 to April 99 and how come they are asking cider for FP even though he was not supposed to get his green card this coming fiscal year. I am just trying to understand the way they operate
