Appointment for Advance Parole Application

Hello All--

I recd an apoointment letter for Advance Parole. I knew that I might be invited to meet with someone in person for AOS interview, but didnt expect it for Advance Parole. :confused:

Any one experience this before?

I have applied for Family based GC from NYC, processing at MSC.

Your help is much appreciated.
 
Its a routine thing. In NJ advance parole is always in person. Varies state to State. Take your documentation why you need to travel.. Like in NJ they require to show the tickets....

I dont have a solid reason for the travel: I want to take my wife to India, and havent purchased the tickets yet. I also have some possible business related travel to Europe in early February.

I dont have any real proof of when I will travel, just an intent. Could I take a letter from my boss stating that they might need me to go to Europe in February? Would that constitute proof?

Worst case scenario: If at the time of the interview, the officer determines that I do not have an eligible reason, would I still be able to get AP if the Europe travel materializes?
