any experience for renewal of EAD?

Hi.
Is there anyone who renewed his/her EAD?
Do I have to wait a long line to get into INS Office from early morning such as 4:00am?
Who has experience for Los Angeles Office?
Can I renew at the different office which is not the office I applied at first?

I am going to wait that long line today by 4 am in front of Federal Bilding in NYC despite the online case status report says my renewal case has been approved and my card will be mailed as soon as its ready. ??
My friends say go get it as soon as you can. Lawyer says don't bother unless you have to show it to an employer. Choice is yours..
