Agriculture property definition

Hi,
Does any one know the accurate definition of agricultural/plantation property? Is the definition based on how the propoerty is documented, how the property is used, or based on what is on the property?

If based on documents, what specific information states that the property is agricultural

Also, as an OCI can you inherit property from your resident Indian sibling?

It has to be zoned in local government docs. You could go to the local land office and check. You don't have to grow anything on it. It can be fallow land. You just can't put permanent buildings on it. if you do that, it could be called a residential or industrial property and may be frowned upon. If you need to build, you would probably need to change the zoning.
