After GC issued,how to enter

my immigrant visa was issued on 31st july2014 and expires on 4th jan 2015 and during this period i entered US during december23rd and left US on 2nd jan2015 on an emergency to take care of my mother,and during last week of Jan 2015 my green card was posted,my husband and daughter are green card holders and on visa page it is mentioned that upon endorsement it is temporary I-551 valid for 1 year,what is the meaning,getting infopass on 30th dec2014 also informed local US embassy in Iowa,before coming to India ,how do i return now,:confused:

Your immigrant visa, upon being stamped on entry, turned into a green card valid for one year (i.e. until December 23, 2015). So you can use that to enter the U.S.

Though i was in conference call today ,from India i was not able to speak to you nor get the answer ,i am sorry about this and there was an error and i had some difficulties also
