I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and you guys are awesome. I decided to give it a shot and join to see if I can get a questions answered because after much searching, I did not find the answer.
I was told that I need a co-sponsor since it looks like my wife's income fell short of the 125% poverty level requirement by $100 or so. My questions are, am I able to use my income although last year I did not make much at all? I work as an independent contractor so I am not able to get a verification letter of employment . How am I able to do this step? I actually have everything else except a co-sponsor/affidavit of support letter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
