My parents had immigration visa interview on Dec 19th, 2005 and the lady told them that they their interview went fine but it takes 45 days to get the visa and she kept their passport for administrative processing which takes upto 45 days. She also gave them the recipts for the passports so that they can collect it from Karachi FedEx once the visa is ready.
Hopefully your parents will get their visas within 45 days.I have my interview two weeks from now in Islamabad so just a bit anxious about it.
