about finger printing appt.date and FP-notice date.

HI:
   I mailed my 485/ead/ap on jun 8th.
   I am planning to go out of US from November 29 till
   Jan 10th, _IF_ I get my ead and ap by that time. hopefully!

   What is the difference(approximately) from the date we
   receive finger print notice to the actual finger print appointment
   date? Is it at least 40-50 days?

   I am concerned that I might miss my finger print appointment.
   The worst case is if I receive finger print notice on Nov 28th!
   Then I cant even goto INS office to request an early finger printing.
   Because I leave on Nov 29th morning. I am thinking whether I should
   cancel this trip and just wait for the finger print to be complete!

   any feedback is highly appreciated.

   All this is under the optimistic assumption that INS wakes up
   and starts sending out some finger print notices.!

Example; My ND is 03-30-01/RD is 03-23-01. I received notice today.
the date set is 08-15. Therefore notice takes approx 90 - 100 days
and FP is scheduled after 30 days or more.
This is my experiece.
 
normally the time between is 2 to 3 weeks

and normally never more than a month. But you can reschedule by talking to your local INS center (each has their own policy I heard).
