Hi Many of you know by now. Rright!

Yes. It happened. Mine and my wife\'s both Approved today(2nd July).

RD: 12/19/2000. Yes. The year was 2000 indeed.

Tomorrow, our FPs would have expired and the delay would have
been two more months to 5.5 Years of GC\'s journey. I was prepared for it.
But, the luck mesmerized us in the last mintute!

It all started in Jan 1997 and my PD was Feb 1997.

I thank so many PEOPLE who will never ever read this. Because their\'s
have been long approved and gone. My sincere thanks to Mr. Kanna too.

I wish US makes the Immigration process little more transparent and
certainity-driven. I will one day work for that.

Here again. I thank all of you, for your support all these years.

Finally there is hope for all old cases..... My case also approved on 6/29/02 with RD: Dec 2000....

I picked up this statistics from INS web site.
I hope this will give some relief to you who are waiting.

In Fiscal year 2001(INS fiscal year), INS received
on an average 81,660 I485 applications per month.

Now, in this Fiscal 2002, in the last 7 months upto April,
( data is available only upto April-2002 )
INS received on an average 64,510 I485 Applications per month.

That\'s about 21% less than last year.

I am sure at least theoritically you will all wait 21% less time
in the current year to next year.

INS does not give statistics for each Service Center separately.
The above figures are combined data from all four Centers.

I think they are seeing the results already in CA and Vermont centers.
