180 days-job change/Same Pay Scale ?

Can one change jobs and accept a lesser pay on your new job if you have competed 180 days on your I485 ? For example if you are making 70K - Can you accept a job of say $65K

I think salary is less of a criteria (in fact very less) compared to job classification. In the current slowing economy, salary reductions are expected and the Dept. of Labor and INS are aware of it as they adjust the income levels per the state of the economy. When it comes to Job change, I am tired talking about it like everybody else and I think it is prudent to just wait for regulations to be published which seemingly is closer than thought.
