My friend's dad got into the same situation, he got one cert from his home country then one from police station here. Don't worry, everything should be fine. My friend's father got his GC already.
Online status might not be updated on time. 485 status is the most important one, I would not worry about 130 that much. You can expecting your card arrive in the mail in a couple of weeks I guess. :)
Mom got her card in mail today! :D
Our immigration journey is over as for now, might be start another one in 5 years.
Thank you everyone for accompanying me through the course of this journey and wish everybody a very pleasant long weekend.
I sponsored my parents and my spouse's income didn't get into counted in my I864 form and my parent cases are coming through just fine. BTW, I submitted the joint tax return forms for the past 3 years. As for the income figure, I used the number shows in my empoloyment letter. Good luck.
Take the original supportive doc that submitted along with your application package with you, the officer might not check on everything, but better bring it with you. As far as the I-864 form, you only need to bring the tax return forms (last 3 years) and recent pay stubs I guess. For my...
Make info pass appointment and when you go there, tell them you want to see whether your name check is cleared or not, then they'll tell you what is your case status, there is nothing else anybody can do. Good luck!
Adjust of status in US is the fastest among all the other choices, it said better submit your application at the end of their visitor visa is end so the INS wouldn't question the initial intention of coming over as a visitor, once the application case is accepted by INS, the parents are legal to...
Went to DO for an Infopass appointment checking on both my parents' case status, got following info,
Father's case: Name check is still pending, AOS case approved on 3/16/2008, got both case approval email and card in production emails, online case status changed, got card in production paper...
1. this has nothing to do with your interview location.
2. no idea about how the immigration office handles the A#.
3. sometimes it takes time for the case to show up online, give it another couple of weeks.
My parents' cases are in the same boat, but our interview was done after the Feb memo out so the officer told us to send fax to remind once our name check pending up to 180 days. I sent fax to the officer on Jun 9th and my father's case got approved on 16th, but my mother's case seems still...
Hang in there for one more week, my friend's parents cases, one of them arrived within 2 weeks of paper letter and one of them arrived after 4 weeks of paper letter.
This is absolutely true, the timing has nothing to do with whether you use atterney or not. Both my friend and myself didn't use lawyer. Friend's parents didn't go through interview and name check, their cases approved within 3 months, while ours went through all the hassles, both interviews and...
