Is visa number alloted as and when PD is current irrespective of namecheck? Mine is NOT a transferred case. I am at NSC. But does Visa number already gets alloted based on PD as and when its current ....or does one have to wait until namecheck is clear and PD is current to have a visa number...

Is it true that a visa number is allotted for those stuck in namecheck when their Priority Date becomes current? I read in one of these namecheck threads but unable to trace it back, posted by a guy from TSC center.

Another quick question - is it advisable to change employers while under name check? Its been over two years since I filed 485?

Does any know how long is it taking for FOIPA reponse ? I have mailed it two weeks ago, havent heard since...any ideas?
