Do not forget that if an employer is checking your employment eligibility through E-Verify, then you *have* to make sure your status is updated with the SSA.
One might say ... not a big deal... but how can you forsee when that SSA status is checked and how that may affect you?!... it is a 1...
Since in your case, in all probability if your name check is pending, it is pending for more than 180 days.
It is a complete non-issue for you. You will get an approval even if NC is pending, just as I did.
sahil3,
Just might have just missed the boat !!...never mind if not now you will surely get it by Oct. Visa # usually get's alloted at the very end of the process i.e after a RFE I am not sure if that has happened ! Call the Service Center
nj_skm,
That's because you asked for a I-140 copy right ? Did you get a receipt notice from NRC ? If yes, after how long since you sent your FOIA form ?
I sent mine more than a week ago.
In cases such as asking for the whole A-File it takes 12-18 months as per NRC.
There are two tracks...

I-485 got approved in July. I was almost 100% certain that I would have got a RFE because I had changed my address and workplace to a state far away from my original employer/petitioner.
Many folks had mentioned that they had received an RFE for EVL in such a case...
That surely is a dicey situation. Your GC could be considered as abandoned as per the "last action rule". Get in touch with your attorney immediately to check out the options.
sky7,
This is nonsensical on USCIS's part. That said, how do you know your FP's expire on Oct 5 ? Confirm this fact for your case by calling a service center IO.
Your case is now pre-adjudicated and approved, so it just a matter of visa availability by Oct. If they at all need an FP...
I have seen people get in between 7-15 days.
Also you can call NSC and request a copy for youself. There is also a possibility they might tell you what the RFE is all about.
If you filed a G-28 (attorney representation), only your attorney will receive the RFE.
Hope it is a minor one.

I checked the status this morning (9:25am EST) and it was "Card Production Ordered" for both my spouse and I !
Looks like it just changed since I haven't got the e-mails from CRIS yet.
btw I sent AC21 docs in May as I had changed my state of workplace. That surely was a great idea I think!
Yes, it's the same, but I would be interested to know how long it has been in that state for you. As I mentioned earlier, mine is with off. since June 19.
Looking at the long weekend and the high possibility that the IO would be on vacation, I would give the benefit to the IO till July 7. I...
Oh..sorry! details with PD: (NSC, I-485 RD: 06/12/07, EB2, PD: 03/2004)
Did they say when they assigned your file to an officer ? Can you please find that out... thanks.
The whole thing is at the very end now but we can't seem to do any more. 3 of my friends got theirs approved within 2...
