Honestly, we've looked at prices of movers, and then estimated how much stuff we have here in our simple 1-bedroom apt here in Silicon Valley. It turns out that hiring movers is more expensive and will cause a lot of headaches, rather than just selling our furniture on craigslist.com and sending...
to all of the experienced out there - question:
I put Toronto, ON as my destination on the PR application 2 years ago.
Things change, and now Vancouver, BC seems a more attractive location to move.
Can I do the landing in Vancouver, or am I bound to land in Toronto, ON since my COPR says...
my lawyer is telling me now:
STATEMENT 1: "Once the I-140 petition is filed with USCIS the H1B visa is extendable in one year increments while the I-140 is pending approval by USCIS. You will not have to leave the US and return home."
So far I have read in this and other forums that the above...
PW must be < current salary if I'm employed by that company now?
I did some research at other forums:
If I'm employed currently by company A and company A is filing for my PERM, they must be paying salary equal or higher than prevailing wage BEFORE they file for PERM. IS THIS TRUE?

Some people say that if PERM is filed and approved, and I140 is filed and pending, then I can qualify for 1-year extention (7th year) of H1. IS THIS TRUE?
Some people say...

The HR and...
I'm in the same situation. Employer sent request for prevailing wage at end of December 2005. It's February 2nd, still waiting for reply. My H1B is until March 2007, which means I must have PERM filed by March 2006 to be eligible for 7th year H1B extention. Waiting is frustrating.
