    Hi,

    I have L1-B blanket visa in 2005 and got extended on 2008; the visa will expire fall 2010, my company applied for a green card and I got the labor certificate and the I-140, I'm waiting now for the I-485 (change of status).

    In case the application didn't started now with the I-485 as it is still unavailable, will I be able to stay in the country while I have the labor certificate.

    Hi there,

    I've a simple question regarding my status on an I-485- AOS application (my wife is a US citizen). I'm on an H1B visa right now, and my H1B expires after one month on Aug7, 2009. I've already filed for AOS (I-485), and also for an EAD 3 months ago. I was hoping that I get my EAD by now, just before my H1B expires, so that I remain in status. I called the USCIS and asked them to expedite my EAD, but to no avail.

    my question:

    1) If I do not receive my EAD before my H1B expires, will my status be Jeopardized? Will I be eligible to stay or face deportation? what will be my status?
    2) I have two promising job offers, but require me at least to have an EAD or GC, is there anyway the I can get an expedite petition that I can file to the USCIS center in charge of my case?
    3) So far, I applied my self, is is a good idea to hire an immigration attorney at this point in time? Can she/he help me expedite my case
    4) What other recommendation you guys have?

    Can anyone please let me know that i have valid US H1B visa and my passport got damaged and i have applied for new passport.
    Now, My question is if my OLD passport got damaged then is my US H1B is valid and can i travel on the same VISA? What should i do?

    I became permanent resident in Feb 2004. My employer relocated me to their middle east branch in October 2007 with approved N-470 and REP. Please advise:
    1. Can I send my N-400 to my friend to mail it to TSC or do I and my wife has to be physically present in my district to submit the application?
    2. Do I still need to come 3 months before filling for citizenship application to fulfill physical presence in the district?
    3. Can I apply while living abroad and make short trips for figure prints and so on to fulfill 3 months physical presence?
    4. I have a bank account, own a house and utilities are still on my name. Will this help?

    I along with my family will be in the USA in June 2010 for about 2 months but would like to apply around December to safe extra trips for finger prints, interview, and oath.
    Your input on this matter will be greatly appointed.

    I have a question about unemployment compensation. I got laid off recently at H1b visa status. May I be eligible to apply for unemployment compensation?

    My Question Regarding I-94, I filed my extension and it got approved but it doesn't show the expiration date. And the petition by my sister approved since 2005 however the visa are not available and for my I-140 was also approved since 2006. what benefit available for in terms of immigration?

    My parents visitor visa (B2) extension is denied. Their I94 got expired in mid feb. .The customer service at USCIS told that their visa with multiple entry is not effected if they leave within 30 days of notice. But your blogs says that if extension is denied and someone stays beyond the allowed time frame of 6 months, their visa is no more valid. Could you tell me where to check if their visa is still valid before they re-enter usa.

    my wife's green card has been approved, however she is in India for some emergency, can you please advise while entering back should she use the H4 (stamped visa) line or GC line, the actula GC card is in US only scanned copy she has

    Sir, I have a green card but no job, i have came here 6 months ago with my husband... my family is in Afghanistan, I want to send invitation to call my brother of my sister for few months to help me out as I am going to have a baby soon and I am alone at home and my husband leaves to work. Whats the best way to start the process and bring them over for few months ?
