Dear members, my friend just recently got married and wants to file I-130 for his wife. My question is, can he file for his wife who has not turned 18 yet? She just turned 17 this year. So is there any age restriction for filing I-130?

Just found out from the automated NVC menu. DS-3032 and AOS has been sent out by NVC to me and my wife.

NVC handles everything now. It use to be the case that the file was transfered to the consulate and they use to drive it further. ^Hi chakman, I can tell that you should be hearing anything from CSC soon. I have seen this before that when a file gets touched many times, usually the petitioner gets something back (RFE or Approval).

Finally, NVC case # was assigned last night. Now looking at the timeline, I assume DS3032 will be mailed to my wife and me within next 7-10 days. I already emailed a blank DS3032 to my wife and asked her to print it and fill it. As soon as I-864 and DS3032 gets generated, I will have her fedex...
