Thanks ginnu for your response. The reason I am a little hesitant to get the passport re-stamped is nothing but being lazy. SFO office is a pain. Been there already 5 times in the last 3 years. I will make an appointment soon.

Wonderfull, Have you applied for a replacement card? What's the procedure? I had filed G-731 and got a reply stating that the card had been mailed in August and hasn't been returned to INS(in case of undeliverable). Which means I have lost the card in mail. any one else who has an idea...

I haven't moved in the last couple of years. Had received the approval notice at the present address. So makes me wonder, it might not be the address issue.

My case status changed online on 24th Aug stating that "On August 24, 2004, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed ...." Still haven't received the card though. Is someone in a similar situation? Stamping on PP...

For some reason it seems like 7/19 was a popular date for stamping!!!

Stamped on 30th June. Today the message changed to: "On August 24, 2004, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days ...." this is the 3rd message change since the case was approved. (the messages were in line as mentioned by Wik)

wac-02-182 approved 15th June stamped 30th June (SFO) Message updated on 16th Aug: "On August 16, 2004, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready." Hopefully will get the card in a month.

stamped on 6/30 no change in the case. touch date hasn't moved either. (6/16)

Definitely not for SFO or bay area as of now.
