Glad to know that it is ok i have applied for dv2010 and that i may be attending interview with your uncle. I have so far not done much. I think if i take my cert for good conduct in January is ok. I think from the things i saw in the NL i require a birth cert, police cert, proof of Education ( degree cert), financial support plus sponsor form 134 which i will be receiving from a friend in the US, I have not sought for a job as yet although i had floated my resume in the net Yahoo hotjobs and career builder - in some occasions received invitations for interviews but i am not currently there so i did notify the interested the same.

I have a cash savings of about 400k in bank and others in form of shares in the stock Market and Sacco i think i should not sell the shares or withdraw from the Sacco to have to show the cash. Do you think i can go it that way since shares have really flopped? Do they respect such share certificates? Do they require anything as proof of not married - affidavit? No child. Anything i am overlooking please inform me.

hi. It will not affect the chances of being issued with visa. You can re-apply dv 2010 even after winning the dv 2009. otherwise I hope you have began the interview preparations. My uncle - currently living in Nairobi has a cn 321**. Hopefully the interview will be scheduled in the same month. The minimum balance is not an issue if you're single. if you are married or have kids the situation is different. However, in both cases single or married, you need an affidavit of support from an american permanent resident or citizen. Nairobi embassy may not be very strict coz my cousin( DV 1997) provided her father's bank statement, log books and title deeds only. Anyway keep in touch na barikiwa sana

Thanks Kimathiz. I am actually kenyan so will be processing my visa in nairobi. I have also played dv 2010 do you think there will be any problem if i win this time again? Again i had a question about the minimum bank balance to show at the embassy to start organising now that April is not soooo far. Thanks in advance..

I dont quite know when one should apply to increase the chance. however I applied quite late, think 27th November, about 4 days to the end.
