Hi,
I have question, If I get a J1 waiver, can I keep on working on j1? I applied for waiver but my employer doesn't have funding for H1, asking me to work on j1. Can I do that.

Thanks

Work on J-1 as long as you want. Your waiver is only useful when you change status.

Hi jzlthssw,
Are you sure about it, its a great relief to me, how much sure are you, I dont know where I read it or who told me, still can not believe it.

Thanks a lot.

Use your head man. Do you expect people to stop working as soon as they get their J-1 waiver? To follow your logic, they have no other option but to either quit their job, or immediately change to another status (do you have any idea how long I-485, for example, takes?).
