work start date is later than TN application date

Hi I got my TN letter which says my employment will start on 1/16/23; however, I cannot fly to the border to apply for TN until 1/19/23. Will it be a problem?

It could raise doubts regarding the validity of your offer - since you "missed" the start date when you arrive on 1/19. Better to get the letter fixed.
 
This is absolutely no problem. You will just lose three days of TN. It this was JUNE, it would be more of a concern.

To suggest otherwise is raising unwarranted fears.

But another eewason to never put a start date.
