Will valid B1/B2 be affected after F1 is denied

I have traveled to the US several time on a Busines trip. I have a valid 5 years visitors visa in my passport. Resently (in July) I applied for Student visa (F1) and I was denied because of lack of funds to cover the entire study period.
1. Please will this denial affect my existing valid visitors visa (B1/B2) in case I want to go to the US again on a Business trip?
2. Can I travel this coming October to the US (that is 2 months after the denial)?

Beware! If you have had a visa application rejected while holding another valid visa, your prior visa is also subject to cancellation. Please check with the embassy that your visa is still valid prior to leaving for the US; or you may be in for a nasty surprise.
