I am sure that everyone heard about the new immigration bill. I wonder if it will change anything for legal aliens. According to the new bill, illegals will be able to get two visas for 3 years each and then get the permanent residence.
I wonder how about people who are here legally? I have been working in the States for almost 7 years, pay taxes and renew my TN-1 each year. I bet many on this board are in similar situation. I started with the LC process, even got the 45-day letter, then it turned out that my lawyer was a scum who became suspended shortly after taking my case i resigned a year ago ( he never bothered to notify me about his status). I guess three years and a few thousands later I am at the starting point. That's why I was hoping for the new bill but I guess it doesn't pay off to obey the laws.
