Wife's TD status renewal by mail after I get TN stamp at the border?

My TN status expires on July 18.

My wife's TD status also expires on July 18.

We both are Canadian citizens.

I am going for TN renewal at the border soon at the end of June.

Once my TN status is renewed can my wife apply by mail for an extension of status using "I-539, Application To Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status" form?

Or will she be out of status (even before July 18 the current TD expiry date) once I renew my TN since here TD status is tied to my TN status?

Her TD is tied to you having a TN, any TN. So she remains in status until July 18. You need to file I-539 before that date.
