Whew!!! finally approved, PD 4/96..nd 7jan2000

Heard on the AVM, my and my wife\'s case got approved on may24th. took 5 years!!!! to get GC. Here\'s the history:
PD 4/96 ( EB2, regular)
Michigan ( local)labor ( ad etc.) : 1 year
Chicago Labor: 1.5 yrs
I-140 : 1 year ( lost a month due to India employment RFE)
I-485: 1.5 yrs. ( lost 3 weeks due to wife\'s pregnancy medical RFE)
Even though my case was straight forward, due to bad luck, I passed through each stage when it had the worst performance.
I don\'t think there is anybody out there with a earlier PD than mine.

I talked to an IIO about 2 weeks before approval, when I was told that my case was waiting to hit an officer, and it was past the examiner ( a clerk) who had issued the RFE for my wife.
BTW, I also had talked to the senators office about 8 days before approval, but I don\'t think that influenced the approval, as my case was already with an officer by that time

BTW, when was your wife\'s RFE received by INS?

Wife\'s RFE was sent by INS on 25th apr, recd by me on 1st may, response sent on 2nd may, recd by INS ( as per AVM) on 10th may.

Hey,

My wife also had similar RFE. Did you just get the supplemental form with vaccinations filled for her or the whole medical done again. I just got supplmental done for my wife, was wondering if that should be Ok or not?
