When is the case transferred for interview?

Hi, just wanted to know when a case gets transferred for interview? Is it after a case is assgned to the officer and the officer reviews it? What is
the process after that until someone gets called for interview?

Also I have seen that for some people the officer approves it and stamps the passport right away. But for others, they say they will contact again after two months. What happens after that? Does the case case go back to CSC again? Why does this happen? What happens after that ?

Please post your experiences ands thoughts.

Thanks ProActive. I saw the thread. But the whole process of how(and not why) you get called for interview , and the process after that if you don\'t get the stamping rght away, is still unclear
