When am I eligible to apply for Citizenship?

Hello -

I received my Green Card in August, 2015 through a family member petitioner after having waited for almost 13 years. Because of my family and business situation in my home country, I wasn't able to permanently move to the US until August, 2018. However, I made sure to come to the US for 3 weeks every 11 months (3 times) between August, 2015 and my permanent move here and had no issues with the officers at the border. I have now lived in the US since August, 2018 and have started to plan for naturalization. I have read the continuous residency requirements but wanted to make sure I understood them correctly. To that end, I have a question;

Can I count the 3 years leading up to my permanent move here in 2018 as being a resident since I maintained an address with my citizen brother or does my 5 year clock begin in August 2018?

Continuous residence applies to the period you were physically in the US, so, no just having an address does not count. Your 5 year period begins August 2018.
