What to file with I140?

I'm about to file I140. I heard lots of friends said they attached W2, paystub, etc. with the form. But my lawyer said it's not neccessary.

Who is right? Will missing those items cause RFEs and delays? My company is a hundreds-year-old no profit hospital, will they need to file financial information with the form or it's only for the mom-pop stores?

What is necessary to submit depends to some extent on what category the person is applying under (Exceptional Ability requires different documents than an EB-3 filing based on an approved LC). I don't usually send paystubs unless I expect questions or I really want to prove that the person is working and being paid by the sponsoring employer, or if it is an EB-1 filing and I need to show an extremely high salary.
 
I'm EB3 and my company is well established. Guess I don't need any of those.
