what is A#? for I -485 application.

Hi all,
Thanks for you help to all my questions. Anyway, I encountered another question.

What to write in the I-485 form when they ask for A#? I have a approved I-140 petition under NIW category.

You will get an A# only after you file your 485. The 485 receipt will have your A#. As of now , you can write none in the A# column. That is what I did while filling my 485 application form. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

Right, unless an A# was issued to you earlier for eg. MS/PhD students who apply for OPT get an A#. Use that on the 485 form.
