What happened to 2-year EADs ?

I heard about this some time back. Can anybody please update me on 2-year or Multi-year EAD proposals and current status ?

3 year EAD

I think you can apply for 3 year PD if your 140 is approved but you have not applied for 485.

Two Year EADs Will be Accepted Starting January 1, 2005

As previously reported on June 4, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved the issuance of two year Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) in adjustment of status cases (I-485). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will be accepting applications under this new rule starting January 1, 2005
