Dear Guests / Members/ Doctors:

Khulna Medical College(Bangladesh) needs immediate attention from
you.
Any government medical college graduate(MBBS
degree)from Bangladesh can particpate " The
United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)",

To be eligible to apply for USMLE, the medical college
must be listed in IMED(International Medical Education
Directory)
web site: http://imed.ecfmg.org/
www.usmle.org

But only 14 Bangladeshi Medical Colleges are listed in
IMED.
I contacted the IMED, they said that Khulna Medical
college has the ability to be listed in IMED.In fact,
Khulna Medical College graduate(MBBS) can participate
the USMLE exam, but the medical college should be
listed in IMED first.

Before a medical school is listed in IMED, the
MINISTRY of HEALTH or other appropriate authority in
the country where the school is located (in this
instance, the Bangladesh Medical Council) must write
to provide the following confirmation:

1. That the specified medical school is recognized by
the government of
the country for award of the Doctor of Medicine (or
equivalent) degree

2. The date on which recognition was granted

3. If applicable, the name of the university with
which the medical
college is affiliated.

4. That graduates of the specified medical school
eligible for medical
licensure in the country

5. The date on which graduates of the specified
medical school became
eligible for medical licensure

The letter must be received directly from the
Bangladesh Medical
Council, on letterhead stationery, with the signature
and seal of the Secretary or
appropriate official. All documentation should be
sent to
this address:

Please inform to Bangladesh Health Ministry or any
necessary authority so that Khulna Medical College
(MBBS) graduate can take USMLE.

Note: For your concern I attached the forwarded e-mail
from IMED.

Thank you

Sincerely,
Mohsin Khan

If the medical college is not listed in IMED, students and graduates
are not
eligible for the USMLE.

Before a medical school is listed in IMED, the Ministry of Health or

licensure in the country

5. The date on which graduates of the specified medical school became
eligible for medical licensure

Subject: Need information for "Khulna Medical College"(BANGLADESH)

Dear Sir / Madam:
On your website, I found 14 medical colleges
listed(Bangladesh). Without these listed medical
colleges there are more public medical colleges in
Bangladesh.
One medical college name is KHULNA MEDICAL COLLEGE,
Rajshahi University,Bangladesh.

My question is > If anyone graduated from this medical
college(above), can he take the USMLE exam?
Thank you .

Sincerely,
Mohsin Khan
