Using AP to travel and H1B for employment ?

Does anyone use Advance Parole to travel and H1B as employment permit ?? Just wondering if it is possible to do that. Thanks

If you enter the US using AP you are required to switch to EAD for employment

I just had my friend travel on AP and working on H1. I created a confusion in him. He consulted his attorney and clarified that new law passed in sometime 2000 which allows to work on H1 even if travelled on AP. Prior to this law.. a parole should work on EAD but not anymore

If you are NOT using EAD for work and you have

valid H1-B status, you can use AP to travel. Though it may be better to show H1-B on POE instead of AP. Just because you are having AP does not mean you have to use AP.

On the other hand if you are using EAD, you have to use AP even if you have valid H1-B visa.
