I encourage you to take a look. The most interesting feature in my opinion is that when you enter your receipt number it shows you where you are in the approval process.
It now states the average processing time for TSC at 6mo for I-485 based on asylum.

the strange thing is that NSC's overall processing time is shorter than TSC's according to the website. However, based on many posts I have seen on this forum, the actual processing time of TSC is way shorter than NSC.

tributeblinky,
Lately, it does indeed apear that processing time at TSC is shorter, but we can't tell for sure. I think that USCIS data is a better pic of the overall situation. In my case, it took less than 2 month from the receipt date to the physical green card. I still can't believe it.

Last month I spent time incrementing receipt numbers for the day I submitted my application. I calculated that 18% of I-485 applications were approved within 45 days. But I can't tell for sure if they were Asylum based.

As you may know, a receipt number breaks down as follows: SRC0921651000

SRC= texas service center
09 = year of application (2009)
216= 216th day of the year (july 15)
51000 = incremented number given to each applications received that day.
