Long-term Efficiency Measure: Naturalization application cycle time (N-400)

Explanation:Achieve and maintain a 6-month cycle time for Naturalization Form N-400 (goal is targeted and measured annually).

Long-term Output Measure: Percent of pending applications more than 6 months old (backlog as a percentage of pending)

Explanation:Backlog is reported as a percentage of total pending cases. Backlog is that number of pending cases which is greater than the total of the last 6 months of receipts. Performance on backlog elimination is reviewed to determine shortcomings, identify solutions and make any needed resource adjustments to ensure the target will be met.

Annual Output Measure: Level of compliance with naturalization quality procedures

The projected 6 months processing time seems to fit the pattern in many Service Centers, at least for 2006. We will see !!!
 
Impressive stats, but pardon me if I find these figures laughable... :D :D :D

They have been talking about these improvements for years and years and years while things got worse and worse and worse.

Well, it went from 32 to 48% and they plan to achieve 0% backlog in 2006. Based on popularity of the lawsuit thread, it doesn't seem to be going this way.

I am predicting these numbers will be very good for late 2007 and early 2008 until the election in Nov 2008....
