Came to US on J1 visa (not subjected to 2 year rule )valid till 30 june 2016.
Applied for Change of status to F1 on april.
Applied for Change of status to H1 and got Picked in lottery.
Now both F1 and H1 are in pending status.
Staying in country with pending F1 visa.
Got RFE for H1 stating the applicant should be on valid status at the time the application was filed( H1 application file date: 27 april).
Altough my H1 was applied before my J1 got expired, I assume they are asking me to prove the status maintenance from j1 expiry till date.
Can I show them the F1 pending details to justify my stay?
