Upcoming trip - afraid to miss FP notice/appointment

As you can see on my time line, I just sent my application recently. I have checked several time lines of other applicants and it seems it takes an average of 4 weeks to receive the FP notice after mailing the N-400.

Here is my situation: I have to travel out of the country from Feb 06 - Feb 22, just around the time I should be receiving the FP notice. If I receive the FP notice before my trip, I am sure I can re-schedule it, but what about if I get it on the mail while I am out of country? What is the time frame to get the FP done? How much time do they give you? Can you re-schedule the FP appointment?

Thanks for any input.

You can postpone the FP by asking someone on your behalf to complete the bottom portion of your FP letter and returning it back. But the downside is you cannot request a specific day in the future. USCIS will reschedule it at their own will. Based on your timeline I am sure you will complete your FP before you leave. Just do a walk-in as soon as you get your FP letter this month.
