Hi, I am a new member and Iam really impressed with thecontents of this portal.My problem is that in all my records my last name is differnt for Ex if my lastname is Smith in all my records it is listed as smith but in my green card it is smit, now what should Ido in my N400 application.Can I still apply without changing my green card. Smit is the name by which my uncle applied my card so its not mistake by INS he was not aware that I use the lastname as Smith.So under part 1a I put lastname as Smith and in b)I put lastname as Smit and In c)which is if I have used some other names there also I listed Smit.is it a big deal or I can just go ahead and apply and include copy of my Indian passport,SSN card and driver license for support. I called the customer service for INS 1person told me that its not a problem just include the DOb certificate second time I called some other person told me that I wud need to replace the Greencard Please help
