So, I'm going to Mexico on June 14th and I have an appointment to renew my 2 children's passports on June 12. Kids are 15 and 18 now.
Here is how it goes, both passports expire on december 29th and they were made using my certificate of naturalization and the children's green cards. The green cards were never returned so for the renewal I have the following:
- Unexpired passports (they expire on Dec 29th 2025)
- School records to show that the kids are in school and have been in the school for the last 10 years
- medical records, I was planning to bring the vaccination records of the 2 kids
- Mexican Marriage Certificate and official translation
- Each kids mexican birth certificate and official translations.
- My certificate of naturalization that I got back the last time around.
Here are my 2 questions:
Q1: Is the documentation I'm bringing enough?
Q2: The last time around I requested the passport book and passport cards. Can I keep the cards with me and leave the book at the post office? Does my renewal request risk of being rejected even if I only renew the books?
