Some DOs stamp, some don't. I was told at my interview "we don't stamp passports any more because the green card comes in 2 weeks" (almost 6 weeks later, nothing). However I've seen reports of people getting the stamp. The best thing to do is to ask for the stamp after you get approved at interview.
