Tracking Fiancee K-1 Visa

The NOA2 stated that my package had been forwarded to the Consolate. But shouldn't it read "forwarded to NVC"?

K1 visa not issued. Instead Administrative investigation is being processed. My fiancee was issued a contact sheet which she needs to fill out so the Consul can investigate the relationship.

Today, 02/26/2014, with heavy military police presence, a representative of the US Embassy visited my fiance to hopefully "complete" the administrative processing my K1 case has been in since December.

The guy asked her several questions like where I work, and if she used the apartment alone. They even opened the bible laying next to her bed. Then they left. The guy did not stay up to 15 minutes. Nice day's work :). We are still waiting for them to make a decision.

This is hoping that they will do the right thing and issue the K1 visa to her already.

I just called the consular section at the embassy. I was told they are yet to receive my K-1 file back from the field unit that went to investigate. This is however the second week after they visited my fiancee.

They called my fiancee to go redo her medical exam and then come back to the Consulate. Great development!
