I have a couple questions before I head over to the border:
1. I am a salaried full-time employee under a US based consulting firm. I noticed that my position cannot be "filling an existing position or a newly created position" what do these exactly mean? and would it be a problem in my case as i am hired as full-time, working on various client projects assigned by my employer?
2. I applied for H-1B last year but I missed the cap. Would they know (the officers at the border) know i've done such an applicatoin, and if i am asked this question, what would be a good answer to handle it? In all honesty, I do intend to return to canada in the future, i was encouraged to apply for h1-b at first by my employer because this status does not require year-to-year renewals.
