So been reading posts on the forum,

1. Experience doesn't count under the Engineering category and you must have a:
  • Bachelor’s (Baccalaureate) degree in engineering;
  • Licenciatura Degree in engineering; or
  • State or provincial license
you can NOT have a college degree in engineer technology, a Bachelor’s in science plus experience to qualify under engineering. ONLY the above bullet points or have your degree 3rd party equivalent reviewed and approved and you cannot just have a statement in the letter that in whatever state you are not required to be licensed.

2. If the employer or lawyer puts you under the engineering category because the job title states engineer but you do NOT need an engineering degree nor be an engineer for the job than change the category since it is just a title.

3. Do NOT put a job title in the letter as internal titles are not meaningful as mostly there to justify pay scale or to make you feel important (psychological thing), but how do you get around no job title since the letter, if person writing it is any good, will already be describing the job duties? the few letters I have seen state 'we are requesting .... name .... for position of .... job title .... at this address ...'
