Hi:
I searched all over the forum but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone have a rough idea on the time taken when a US citizen parent applies for I 130 for a single child over 21 living in the States? I heard it is 2 years from the date of GC application. Anyone have a rough idea? The application was filed in 2001 when the parent was still a GC holder. As a citizen, the category of the child moves to class "A" preference. As of now, the USCIS is working on appl. that were filed in 2001 (coincidence?)!
Edited to add: Location of parent is in Chicago, IL, and processing center is CA.
Thanks
ULTRON
