Guys,

Just to let you know that I am still around waiting for the interview notice at the San Jose office. Case was transferred in May/01.

Please share any information ...

Non-interview people: a very small number of Employment based cases get transferred for interviews at local INS offices. Please search for interview on this site for more information.

Unlucky and ProActive,

Many folks posts messages about contacting local congressmen
for help when cases are pending for unbearablely long. They
all reported that assistants at congressmen offices are very
friendly and helpful (perhpas for establishing future potential
voters!). Even though it may not be very helpful, getting them
involved could at least make you feel better.

contacting local congressman

Unluckywaiter, Ciba and others,

I did contact my local congresswoman one week or so ago. In this first message I just inquired about the processing date at the local INS office. Supposedly the immigration liason person should have that information.

I did not hear back from them yet. I will let you know as soon as I hear something.

Good luck!
