Temporarily work in the home country when I485 is pending?

My manager asked me to go back to my home country to work
for 2-3 months (in the same company). My status is I-485 pending
and I have Advanced Parole.
However, my lawyer told me that I cannot do this, overwise my greed
card application will be automatically dismissed.

Is it the case? Thank you very much!

It is not the case. The only thing that needs dismissed is your attorney.

to add to what TRC says, GC is for future employment and as long as u and ur sponsor have intent to work u r fine.
