tax transcript do i need the W2?

I am confused the I-864 shows say i need a copy of my tax return and the
the W2 for each year which i show but later it says if i obtain a copy of the transript that i dont have to. Is this correct it says "If you provide a photocopy of your tax return(s), you mustinclude a copy of each and every FormW-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your return(s). Do not include copies of these Forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your return(s) rather than a photocopy" so "these forms" i guess means W2 if i have a transcript, is anoyone failiar with this

When you get a transcript of your taxes with the IRS you DO NOT need a copy of W2's, becouse the transcript is a govertment issue document...... But if you are sending a copy of the tax return ( from your records) then you need to include the W2's.
